White Lake, also known as Dummer Lake, is located along County Road #6 on the south side of Stoney Lake in Peterborough County. Indian River flows into the lake on the north end from Stoney Lake and exits the lake on the south end. This land locked lake reached maximum depths of 30+ feet. The perimeter of the lake is 7.7 km (4.8 miles). White Lake is similar to some other lakes in the Kawartha District in that it is a quite fertile and is high in nutrient content. There are a number of small islands and rock piles in the north end as well as extensive lily pad beds in the shallow areas. Major fish species include walleye, muskie, small and largemouth bass and perch.
