Kasshabog Lake
Kasshabog Lake has some natural features that other lakes do not have that makes it special. It is private in that it is not on the Trent Severn Waterway, and the water level is relatively constant because it is not connected to the Trent Severn Waterway level in anyway. It has geographical features that make it more resistant to acid rain than most other lakes. On top of all this, the water still remains drinkable, (use of a filter advised) and they have never had a swimming area closed. It has been declared fully developed, so if we are watchful, no major development will occur to upset the balance. However, an important item that has contributed to this lake remaining pure over the more than 40 years of development has been having a cottage association to guide and represent the property owners.
